Just trying out the newest firefox plugin for LJ. It amazes me all the new stuff I find once in awhile. Once I buy the Macbook I am gonna have to do this all over again I bet. Suck.

I have been in Southern California for a couple of weeks now. I gotta say I actually like it here. It's almost like being home in Florida, but the weather is nicer. No humidity is a beautiful thing. Other than that not much news to tell. I'll be headed back to Florida next Friday, the 21st, and I can't wait. I am really missing home right now I guess.

In other news, that's probably not so new, I am still single. I don't know just how available I have made myself though. For me it's got to be all about having a truly fantastic friendship and building from there. It's about being smacked up side the head by fate and not being able to ignore it.
Know something that I really miss? Having someone that I can lay in the dark with and just share secrets or just talk to with total acceptance and understanding. Sometimes we can just lay there in the dark and breathe...no conversation other than the occasional caress in the darkness...my hand finding hers and that simple thing speaking volumes without ever uttering a word. One of these days I just might find that again...

I hope each and every one of you has a very happy valentine's day. You will have to pardon me if I go right ahead and don't. There will come a day when I can perhaps join in your greeting card and chocolate candy-induced rapture. This is just not that day. You will not find me raining on your parade and whining about heartache. I believe in love as much today as I ever have. Love is out there and I have known it. Love is the warm blanket that I have wrapped myelf in on so many days of my life. The first business day of 2007 finds me in Douglas, Georgia. If you look on your maps kiddies and see the spot in Geaorgia that says "Middle of Fucking Nowhere", just underneath that it says Douglas. If catatonics went on vacation this is where they would come. Very exciting stuff here in Douglas. Home of 109 churches and 32 banks, all in a town a fraction the size of Plant City. (that's very small for those of you playing the home version of this game)

Over heard this morning at Tampa International Airport while sitting at the gate waiting to board a plane:

"I guess we'll have to burn a cross in their front yard or something to show them that rednecks still run that neighborhood."

People have no kind of filter anymore. Perhbaps they assume that the rest of us just tune them out when we sit down in public. A cell phone does not automatically give you auditory immunity you dick! The funny thing is that I don't even think that the conversation was a racial one. Sounded more like class warfare/envy than anything else. Once in awhile people still manage to amaze me. It amazes me how wonderful my girlfriend can be to me, and it is equally amazing how much of a retarded asshole someone can be without even blinking an eye. Calgon, take me away!
